Outstanding Contributions Award:
The Outstanding Contributions Award is the ESD Association’s most prestigious award. It is awarded to an individual who has made a major contribution to either the development or the operation of the ESD Association or has had a significant impact in the field of EOS/ESD. Potential candidates for the Outstanding Contributions Award are not required to be members of the ESD Association. The final selection is approved by EXCOM. Recipient Criteria as follows:
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have been actively involved in ESD for greater than 5 years.
- Served on:
- TPC
- Session Chair
- Workshops
- Standards or
- Other Association Committee
- Tutored, mentored or asked to be a consultant by others.
- Is recognized for excellence by others.
- Recognized for technical achievements in own area of ESD.
- Consistent and continuous contributions.
- Final Selection:
- Initiated a new branch of ESD (new topics or fields of interests).
- Pioneering work that led to other industry technology advances.
The Awards Committee Chairperson and/or the President of the ESD Association will present the Outstanding Contributions Award.
* Note: Recipients of the Outstanding Contributions Award also receive complimentary ESD Association Lifetime membership.
ESD Association Founders Award:
The Founders Award is presented to a Member or former member of the ESD Association who was involved in the formation and growth of the ESD Association or the EOS/ESD Symposium. The Founders award is presented at the Annual General Meeting.
Industry Pioneer Award:
The Industry Pioneer Award is presented to individuals who have made major contributions in the development of EOS/ESD theory, products, standards or other related fields of interest. The recipient of the Industry Pioneer Award does not have to be a member of the ESD Association. The Industry Pioneer Award is presented at the Annual General Meeting.
Industry Contribution Award:
Presented to a company that has made significant contributions to the industry overall while supporting the ESD Association. The Industry Contribution award is presented at the Annual General Meeting.
Joel Weidendorf Memorial Standards Award:
The Joel Weidendorf Memorial Standards Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the development of ESD Association Standards. The candidate for this award is chosen by the Chairman of the Standards Committee and is presented at the annual volunteer recognition event.
The David Barber Sr. Memorial (Symposium) Award:
The David Barber Sr. Memorial Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the development, organization, management and growth of the EOS/ESD Symposium. The candidate for this award is chosen by the Symposium Business Unit Manager and current General Chair, and is presented at the annual volunteer recognition event.
The ESD Association’s Presidents Award:
The Presidents award is presented in recognition of significant contributions, leadership and management that has enhanced ESDA operations and effectiveness in serving industry and the organization. The candidate is chosen by the ESDA President and is presented at the annual volunteer recognition event.
